The
\nWestern Force is thrilled to announce a contract extension for the Club\u2019s
\nSwyftx Super Rugby Women\u2019s head coach Dylan Parsons for a further two years.<\/p>\n
The
\ncontract extension comes after an unprecedented period of success for the Force
\nin Super W since Parsons took charge in October 2023, with the side qualifying
\nfor the semi-finals for the first time in both the 2024 and 2025 seasons.<\/p>\n
The Force
\nhas forged into new territory in Australian women\u2019s rugby, with Parsons
\npioneering a programme to take the team to the next level, instilling the Maali
\nDNA which underlines the team\u2019s culture.<\/p>\n
The side\u2019s
\nsuccess has also led to individual growth represented by several players
\nearning Wallaroos call-ups and debuts over the past two years, including Sammy
\nWood, Hera-Barb Malcolm Heke and Alapeta Ngauamo.<\/p>\n
Ngamihi
\nMonk, Nicole Ledington, Grace Freeman and Brooklyn Teki Joyce were newcomers
\namong this week\u2019s Wallaroos camp too.<\/p>\n
Force CEO
\nNiamh O\u2019Connor said the extension was reward for the work Parsons has done
\nduring his tenure.<\/p>\n
O\u2019Connor
\nsaid: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to extend Dylan as our Super W head coach. His passion
\nand drive to lead this programme into the semi-professional era have been
\nexceptional, and he\u2019s been instrumental in pushing our \u2018Be the First\u2019
\nambition in the women\u2019s space.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn just a
\nshort time, he\u2019s guided the team to back-to-back finals, supported the
\nemergence of multiple new Wallaroos, and helped strengthen the Maali anchoring
\nthis group in pride, purpose, and what it means to represent Western Australia.<\/p>\n
\u201cDylan has
\ngrown with the programme, and we\u2019re pleased to keep investing in his leadership
\nas we continue to set new benchmarks for women\u2019s rugby in Australia.\u201d<\/p>\n
Parsons was
\ndelighted to re-commit to the Force, listing off a number of motivating factors
\nin pursuit of \u201cunfinished business\u201d with the current playing group.<\/p>\n
Parsons
\nsaid: \u201cI\u2019m excited about the ambition of the club and the actions of the Club
\nto back it up with genuine investment. It\u2019s fantastic to be part of something
\nprogressive which keeps developing the women\u2019s programme and leading the way in
\nAustralia.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis club
\nis home to me and that\u2019s important. We\u2019re in a strong position to take WA
\nwomen\u2019s rugby to the next level which motivates me.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s
\nbeen really good signs of progress over the past two seasons with the team
\nmaking finals. We do have unfinished business and this group has so much more
\npotential to grow, which was another reason to re-sign.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne of the
\nbig reasons I coach is to see individual growth, both as players and people,
\nand it\u2019s been fulfilling to see individuals progress over the past few years
\nthrough the WA pathway into Super W and achieving their goals at international
