DICK Johnson<\/a> Racing has promoted experienced engineer Mark Fenning to the position of team principal for the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship.<\/p>\n

Fenning steps up from team manager, which will now be filled by Tom Moore, to bolster the organisation\u2019s on-the-ground leadership hierarchy while Ryan Story stays on as executive chairman.<\/p>\n

George Commins and Ed Williams will be race engineers for Brodie Kostecki<\/a> and Rylan Gray<\/a> respectively, while engine expert Ryan Medew takes on the role of workshop manager.<\/p>\n

An announcement on a new CEO to replace the departing David Noble is expected shortly, too.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ownership group of the Shell V-Power Racing Team is doing everything we can to set this team up for success in 2026 and beyond and these changes will allow us to evolve, improve and deliver significant gains heading into the next Repco Supercars Championship season,\u201d said Story.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been unable to travel to the majority of events this season so while I have been working closely with the team throughout this year, Mark has taken up a lot of the work a team principal carries out at the track, so this change allows Mark to now make the team principal role his own.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving Tom step up into the team manager role is also an exciting part of his personal progression and will enhance our organisation as a team both at the track and back at the Stapylton workshop.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also know we have the best engineering group in the paddock and we\u2019re giving both Brodie and Rylan the best opportunities to succeed with George and Ed as their race engineers next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cCouple that with Mark and Tom\u2019s own engineering prowess, it certainly gives our team the best chance to bring back more trophies in 2026, alongside our broader and talented engineering team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fenning is a DJR stalwart, having been around for each of its past four championship successes (James Courtney<\/a> 2010, Scott McLaughlin 2018-20).<\/p>\n

\u201cDoc (Story) has been and will continue to be such a big part of the success of the Shell V-Power Racing Team,\u201d said Fenning.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are certainly very big shoes to fill but I am excited about the challenges that lie ahead and committed to working alongside our team owners, including Doc, to return this powerhouse team to the front of pitlane in the years ahead.<\/p>\n
