UFC 323<\/a> went down last night (Sat., Dec. 6, 2025) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, the promotion\u2019s final pay-per-view (PPV) event before it heads over to Paramount<\/a>. Headlining the ESPN+<\/a>-streamed event was a men\u2019s Bantamweight title fight that saw Petr Yan get revenge on Merab Dvalishvili, defeating him via unanimous decision<\/a> to once again win the Bantamweight title. In the co-main event, Joshua Van defeated Alexandre Pantoja to become the new Flyweight champion of the world, albeit due to a freak injury early in the fight<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nearly three years after losing to Merab, Yan got his much-desired revenge by defeating \u201cThe Machine\u201d after 25 minutes of action to win the 125-pound strap. \u201cNo Mercy\u201d was on a different level last night, as his grappling was up to par, though it was his striking that really did the trick. Indeed, Yan proved that he was the better striker during the exchanges, hurting Dvalishvili several times throughout. With the win, Yan once again becomes the 135-pound king. all while snapping \u201cThe Machine\u2019s\u201d impressive 14-fight win streak. And to think that just three years ago Yan had lost three straight and seemed to be digging himself into a hole impossible to get out of.<\/p>\n

Taira secured his second straight win following his first-ever defeat back in October 2024 by knocking out former 125-pound champion, Brandon Moreno midway through the second round. He improves his overall record to 18-1 and his win over a former division king expedite his way toward a title shot. A spot in the Top 3 is certain to come his way next week, so one more victory could do the trick to get him to his first-ever shot at winning UFC gold.<\/p>\n

Biggest Loser: Henry Cejudo<\/p>\n

Since returning from retirement in May 2023, \u201cTriple C\u201d has lost all four his fights. Indeed, the former \u201cchamp-champ\u201d is on the longest losing streak of his combat career, as his unanimous decision loss to Payton Talbott further added to his woes after going 10-2 to start his UFC career. It\u2019s a drastic downfall from a man who was sitting at the top of the world following his win over Dominick Cruz five years ago. Now, \u201cTriple C\u201d goes into his second retirement off a tough skid, a far cry of the position he was in after he decided to retire a first time. It\u2019s not the way he drew it up, but I don\u2019t think he will be returning again in the future,<\/p>\n
