In 2018, a much-loved piece of graffiti near Denham on the M25 saying \u201cgive peas a chance\u201d was itself graffiti\u2019d with Give Helch a Chance. Since then, Helch has been seen dotted all around the place, and now the anonymous typographically inclined artist has their own show.<\/p>\n

The Peas graffiti<\/a>, on a railway bridge crossing the M25 has since been repainted many times, to the considerable annoyance of Network Rail, and reminding us of the tension between street artists who often build their reputation by trespassing.<\/p>\n

Now, a collection of decorative H\u2019s have filled the BSMT Gallery in Dalston, this time with permission, and hefty price tags.<\/p>\n

Most of the display is a collection of dropped Hs from their collection, making it both a display that can be seen as innocent decorative typography, or for those in the know, an underpinning of street art subversiveness.<\/p>\n

A nice touch is the tools of the trade hanging from the ceiling.<\/p>\n

You can buy the Hs as original art, or screenprints of the cartoon cat design.<\/p>\n

The exhibition, NO HALF MEASURES a solo show by HELCH<\/a> is at BSMT Gallery<\/a> in Dalston \u2013 a couple of minutes walk from the two Overground stations.<\/p>\n

The gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm and on Sunday from 11am to 5pm.<\/p>\n
