Jacob Elordi is Australia’s big hope at the Golden Globes after scoring two nominations overnight for the 83rd iteration of the film and television awards.<\/p>\n
Elordi was nominated for best performance by a male actor in a supporting role in a film for his turn as the creature in Guillermo del Toro’s retelling of Frankenstein.<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old Australian also scored a nod for best male actor in a limited series, anthology series or movie made for television for his role as Dorrigo Evans in the Australian miniseries The Narrow Road to the Deep North.<\/p>\n
Rose Byrne was also nominated for her best female actor in a film \u2014 musical or comedy for her role in the comedy\/drama If I Had I Legs I’d Kick You.<\/p>\n
The role has already won her the Silver Bear award for best leading performance at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival.<\/p>\n

Another Aussie, Joel Edgerton, is up for best male actor in a drama film for his leading role in the film Train Dreams.<\/p>\n
Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another topped the nominations with nine including for its cast \u2014 Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn and Chase Infiniti \u2014 along with nods for Anderson’s screenplay and direction.<\/p>\n
It is competing in the Globes’ category for comedy and musicals.<\/p>\n

Close on its heels was Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, a Norwegian family drama about a filmmaking family.<\/p>\n
The Neon release’s eight nominations included nods for four of its actors: Stellan Skarsg\u00e5rd, Renate Reinsve, Elle Fanning and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas.<\/p>\n
