Czech Jakub Mensik, the No 12 seed, reached\u00a0the third round of the Toronto Masters by defeating American qualifier Tristan Boyer 6-4, 6-4 at the Aviva Centre on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Mensik, ranked No 18, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the No 20 seed, and Frenchman Corentin Moutet next, in a clash between two Citi Open heroes (they reached the final and the semi mast week).<\/p>\n

Boyer, ranked No 126, won against Aleksandar Kovacevic (7-5, 7-6 (3)) in the previous round of the Rogers Cup.<\/p>\n
