AWS AI agent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CBA has run an early non-production test of a \u2018DevOps agent\u2019 unveiled by AWS last week, which is marketed as a new type of AI agent able to run autonomously and handle more complex tasks.<\/p>\n<p>                                <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"ContentPlaceHolder1_ucArticle_imgImage\" width=\"748\" height=\"420\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1765237570_980_ImageResizer.ashx\" alt=\"CBA runs early test of &quot;frontier&quot; AWS AI agent\"\/><\/p>\n<p>AWS used its annual re:Invent conference in Las Vegas to publicly preview the first three of what it is calling \u201cfrontier agents\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrontier agents represent a new class of AI agents that are autonomous, massively scalable, and work for hours or days without constant intervention,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/aws.amazon.com\/blogs\/aws\/aws-devops-agent-helps-you-accelerate-incident-response-and-improve-system-reliability-preview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">it said in blog posts.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>AWS said the DevOps agent is intended to be an \u201calways-on, autonomous on-call engineer\u201d that can handle all aspects of incident management, from detection and root cause analysis, to remediation, communication with impacted stakeholders and overall incident coordination.<\/p>\n<p>The cloud provider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aboutamazon.com\/news\/aws\/amazon-ai-frontier-agents-autonomous-kiro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">touted CBA as an early tester of the agent.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile prototyping their next-generation internal cloud platform, the [CBA] team replicated a complex network and identity management issue to test AWS DevOps agent,\u201d AWS said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese types of issues can take a seasoned DevOps engineer hours to identify, and the agent found the root cause in under 15 minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CBA\u2019s head of cloud services Jason Sandery said the agent \u201cthinks and acts like a seasoned DevOps engineer, helping our engineers build a banking infrastructure that\u2019s faster, more resilient, and designed to deliver better experiences for our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>iTnews understands that the efforts have so far been limited to testing in a non\u2013production environment, but that there are ambitions to use the technology in production once it moves out of preview.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aboutamazon.com\/news\/aws\/amazon-ai-frontier-agents-autonomous-kiro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The two other \u2018frontier\u2019 agents previewed<\/a> at re:Invent last week are set up to be a \u201cvirtual developer\u201d and \u201cvirtual security engineer\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"CBA has run an early non-production test of a \u2018DevOps agent\u2019 unveiled by AWS last week, which is&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":326302,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[20],"tags":[256,254,255,64,63,105],"class_list":{"0":"post-335945","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-artificial-intelligence","8":"tag-ai","9":"tag-artificial-intelligence","10":"tag-artificialintelligence","11":"tag-au","12":"tag-australia","13":"tag-technology"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/335945","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=335945"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/335945\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/326302"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=335945"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=335945"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=335945"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
