Dame Helen Mirren<\/a> has addressed a reported feud between herself and MobLand co-star Tom Hardy<\/a> with a playful Instagram post.<\/p>\n

Mirren<\/a>, 80, silenced claims that emerged on the weekend in a British tabloid that she was “getting increasingly frustrated” at Hardy’s lateness and on-set attitude as they film the second series of the popular drama.<\/p>\n

The British screen icon was having none of it and clapped back by sharing a photo of Hardy’s face over which she wrote a list of “things I love”.<\/p>\n

\ufeffNumber one was Christmas, which she said was “for obvious reasons”.<\/p>\n

At number two she wrote, “Tom Hardy, for his brilliance on-screen, his dedication off-screen, his good heart and especially his ‘Hardyhugs’ I get when on set with him, which is not nearly enough in my opinion.”<\/p>\n

Mirren then added “Things I hate” and listed just two: “Swede (the vegetable)” and “Bad Journalism”.<\/p>\n

She uploaded \ufeffthe post with the comment “And now you know!” before turning off comments.<\/p>\n

MobLand is a hit British crime drama series that stars Hardy as Harry Da Souza, a fixer for the Harrigan crime family.<\/p>\n

Pierce Brosnan plays family patriarch Conrad Harrigan while Mirren plays his wife Maeve.<\/p>\n

It was recently renewed for a second season with filming now well under way.<\/p>\n

Hardy, 48, has a reputation as a brilliant actor but at times has been called out for his behaviour on set.<\/p>\n

He and Charlize Theron famously clashed on the set of the 2015 sci-fi film Mad Max: Fury Road, which was partly filmed on location in Australia.\ufeff<\/p>\n

A 2022 book about the making of the film, Blood, Sweat & Chrome, went so far as to allege Theron needed protection from an aggressive Hardy after she called him disrespectful for turning up three hours late to film a scene while she waited on set.<\/p>\n

Theron backed up reports she exploded at Hardy on set for keeping her waiting.<\/p>\n

He later addressed his behaviour, saying, “In hindsight, I was in over my head in many ways. The pressure on both of us was overwhelming at times.<\/p>\n

“What she needed was a better, perhaps more experienced partner in me.”<\/p>\n

However, since then he has rubbished claims she was scared of him.<\/p>\n

“I don’t see why she would ever be intimidated by me or in any way feel frightened.”<\/p>\n

Theron also admitted in 2022 she could have done things better.<\/p>\n

\ufeff”Now, I have a very clear perspective on what went down. I don’t think I had that clarity when we were making the movie,” she said.<\/p>\n
