Image: InSyde Media <\/p>\n<p>Hodson will switch from Anderson Motorsport to drive one of two Triple Eight-built Holden ZB Commodores to be run by MSR.<\/p>\n<p>The team is set to test at Queensland Raceway on Monday with Trans Am drivers <a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/supercars-news-2025-alice-buckley-matt-stone-racing-super2-series-test-queensland-raceway\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alice Buckley and Tommy Smith among the drivers.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>MSR was founded as a Super2 team in 2011 and won the title with Todd Hazelwood six years later but has been absent from the class since 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re very excited to be re-entering the Super2 Series,\u201d said team owner Matt Stone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuper2 has always been an important part of our identity as a team, and the plan was always to return to Super2 when the time was right.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter a successful execution of our wildcard program in 2025 the timing is perfect to expand upon that with a return to Super2.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1014591\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Ayrton-Hodson.jpg\" alt=\"Ayrton Hodson\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1282\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Ayrton Hodson joins MSR. Image: Supplied<\/p>\n<p>Hodson finished 17th in the 2025 Super2 Series standings aboard an ex-Dick Johnson Racing Ford Mustang run by the Anderson team.<\/p>\n<p>The Kiwi\u2019s year included testing an MSR Falcon at Queensland Raceway in July ahead of the round at the venue the following month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m incredibly excited for this opportunity and proud to be joining MSR,\u201d said Hodson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMSR has a great reputation for developing young drivers, and to be part of that is something I\u2019ve worked hard toward.
