Jan Blachowicz is standing up for his friend and fellow Polish fighter Jonanna Jedrzejczyk after footage came out<\/a> of her allegedly threatening Jamahal Hill\u2019s girlfriend at UFC 323.<\/p>\n

Hill vs. Jedrzejczyk was not something anyone ever expected to see, but fans at a VIP Experience booth at the T-Mobile nearly did, and some footage of the verbal altercation and security holding Jedrzejczyk back hit the internet.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you touch my girl I\u2019m gonna knock you the f–k out,\u201d Hill can be heard saying in the short clip.<\/p>\n

While there\u2019s been no video confirmation of what happened, the Las Vegas rumor mill has the incident starting over Hill claiming he\u2019d beat Jan Blachowicz in a fight, and Hill\u2019s girlfriend agreeing with him. Blachowicz fought at UFC 323 in the first fight on the PPV against Bogdan Guskov, with the bout ending in a majority draw.<\/p>\n

Jedrzejczyk came out with a statement<\/a> that didn\u2019t really say anything other than suggest she wouldn\u2019t beat the tar out of an untrained woman and didn\u2019t deserve to be threatened. And now Blachowicz has his own video where he also doesn\u2019t offer any clarity about the incident but does call out Jamahal Hill.<\/p>\n

\u201cJamahal Hill, when we passed each other at the UFC PI, was very nice to me,\u201d he said in a new interview with Poland\u2019s In The Cage. \u201cSo it\u2019s hard for me to comment on this situation because I don\u2019t have more information than what\u2019s happening on the internet.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut if he\u2019s tough enough to insult Joanna, then listen: You don\u2019t do that, and that\u2019s not sportsmanlike,\u201d Blachowicz continued. \u201cSo if he talks like that, we can settle it unsportsmanlike, and unsportsmanlike, I have more experience than sportsmanlike, so come on, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJust so he\u2019s not surprised, in unsportsmanlike fights I\u2019m a bit stronger than in sportsmanlike ones, where there\u2019s no ref who will say stop.\u201d<\/p>\n

This incident is really blowing up U.S.\u2014Poland relations. We\u2019d just like to remind fighters that it\u2019s perfectly normal for someone in your weight class to say they can beat you, and the proper response is to have a normal, sanctioned cage fight about it to settle the score. No need for a street fight, and no need for fellow countrymen (or women) to threaten anyone\u2019s girlfriend either.
