Technical issues have meant fans faced major delays trying to get into Tuesday night’s Lady Gaga concert at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, with some missing the start of the show altogether.<\/p>\n
Some fans took to social media to say they were left waiting for hours to get into the stadium, while others reported missing multiple songs.<\/p>\n
In a statement, a spokesperson for Suncorp Stadium said the gates opened 50 minutes later than they should have due to “technical issues” identified during a sound check.<\/p>\n

“This delay resulted in a back log of patrons queuing on the Stadium\u2019s external plazas,” the statement said.<\/p>\n
“This backlog exacerbated the already delayed entry resulting in patrons experiencing unusually long wait times.”<\/p>\n
The concert was scheduled to begin at 7pm, but the star did not take the stage until about 7:40pm.<\/p>\n

Suncorp Stadium said 95 per cent of patrons were in the venue by 7:52pm.<\/p>\n
The MAYHEM Ball tour is Lady Gaga’s first tour of Australia since 2014’s ArtRave: The Artpop Ball tour.<\/p>\n
Speaking to ABC Radio Brisbane from outside the venue on Tuesday evening, some fans reported difficulties entering the venue.<\/p>\n
One said they had waited for more than an hour before being told they were not in the queue to get in at all.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Another said the gates did not open until 6pm, despite having been told to arrive at about 5pm to get in early.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“I think they lost control out of lines E and D,” another said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Everything was snaking through and then they lost control of where the lines were going and then it’s turned into … it’s disorganised.”<\/p>\n
The same fan said she was concerned about the lack of places to buy water while in the queue.<\/p>\n
“You don’t want to be a Karen about it but I think there’s some things that obviously could have been organised better.”<\/p>\n
