Paramedics treated the 36-year-old woman at the scene before she was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.<\/p>\n
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Albury said a verbal argument allegedly occurred between a couple inside a car parked outside before escalating inside a home.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It will be alleged that while inside the home, the 36-year-old male smashed a TV and then struck the woman in the head with a glass vase, causing abrasions and lacerations.<\/p>\n
Chief Inspector Albury said the woman called Triple Zero (000) and ran out the front of the house to seek help.<\/p>\n
He said the man then allegedly entered a Mazda sedan and allegedly reversed and ran over her before fleeing.<\/p>\n

“It’s a quiet neighbourhood; [people] are obviously stunned by the level of violence displayed,” he said.<\/p>\n
The man is known to police, and the couple were both residing at the property.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Chief Inspector Albury said the police had not previously been called to the address for any domestic violence-related matters.<\/p>\n
After a search of the area, police located and arrested a 36-year-old man at a phone box in Camden Valley Way.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He was taken into custody at Narellan Vale Police Station.<\/p>\n
Chief Inspector Albury said the man was expected to be charged later this afternoon.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Police are appealing for anyone who has information that may assist investigators \u2014 or anyone with dashcam vision \u2014 to come forward.<\/p>\n
