Lloyd Jones felt the Addicks could have got more out of Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Charlton had chances for a late equaliser after a good second-half showing.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought that we were sloppy in the first half,\u201d said the centre-half. \u201cWe gave the ball over too many times, and we couldn\u2019t get a foothold in the game. We lost too many duels, and we weren\u2019t aggressive enough.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nathan Jones use his game-changers in the second half and the Addicks’ were able to change the momentum of the game.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the second half it was a bit of a turning point,” Lloyd Jones added. “The performance there, we got the goal but didn\u2019t manage to come home with anything.\u201d<\/p>\n
“They [Middlesbrough] were better on the ball than us in the first half, and that gave them a foothold in the game.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe kept turning the ball over and conceding chances. I thought the substitutes were brilliant and set the tempo to go and have a good second-half. The second half felt like us again, we need to work on being more clinical and I am sure the goals will come.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 30-year-old was full of praise for the tribute to Charlton superfan Norman Barker which took place pre-match was observed impeccably by all supporters in the stadium.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cIt was incredibly emotional, really sad, we went to see his memorial as a team, and it was just really sad.\u201d<\/p>\n
