Oscar Onley, Derek Gee and Sam Welsford continue to not be in the squad, meaning of them is certainly not joining. Instead, the British team has confirmed the transfer of <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclinguptodate.com\/jack-haig\" title=\"Jack Haig\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jack Haig<\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclinguptodate.com\/bahrain-victorious\" title=\"Bahrain - Victorious\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bahrain &#8211; Victorious<\/a>.Haig is present at the team&#8217;s training camp in Spain currently, <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclinguptodate.com\/cycling\/ineos-grenadiers-new-sprinter-spotted-at-training-camp-but-reports-say-no-contract-has-been-signed-yet\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">as is Welsford<\/a>. However as it seems, their situation is not the same, and the Australian climber came in with a contract already to be signed.\u201cI raced wheel to wheel against Jack for many years and he\u2019s always impressed me,&#8221; Geraint Thomas said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ineosgrenadiers.com\/news\/jack-haig-signs-on-as-an-ineos-grenadier\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">press release<\/a>. &#8220;He\u2019s a fighter and a grafter, and he knows what it takes to stand on the podium at a Grand Tour. I\u2019m sure he\u2019ll be a big part of what we\u2019re going after in the next few years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Haig moves away from Bahrain &#8211; Victorious after five seasons. After having moved away from Team Jayco AlUla, he found his best legs with the Bahraini team, achieving a podium at the 2021 Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a. He was a strong stage-racer in his prime, but since the 2022 season, his performance hasn&#8217;t been as high. This year he failed to make an impact in the World Tour and suffered a concussion in a crash at the Tour de France which took him out. It\u2019s a team I\u2019ve followed closely since it started, and they\u2019ve achieved so many great things in their history,&#8221; Haig said. &#8220;To now be part of one of the best and most ambitious teams in the world, known for its professionalism and extremely high standards, is something I\u2019m super proud of&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>This move could spark Haig&#8217;s season back up once again, and the British team gains another climber towards its block. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to get the season started, meet my new teammates, and play my part in challenging for future successes.
