Smart ring maker Ultrahuman<\/a> has announced a new version of its wearable, one made in partnership with fashion brand Diesel. <\/p>\n The Diesel Ultrahuman Ring takes the tech of the standard Ultrahuman Air Ring and gives it a stylistic remodel, with a chunkier embossed outer design. And that outer layer is made of titanium, just like that of the Ultrahuman Air Ring. <\/p>\n Its style is attributed to Glenn Martens, Diesel\u2019s Creative Director, and comes with a notable bump in cost, at \u00a3469 for UK buyers. The Ultrahuman Ring Air costs \u00a3329. <\/p>\n U.S. pricing is not available at present as Ultrahuman is currently barred from selling its rings in the country, owing to a patent infringement claim by rival Oura, one that ended in Oura\u2019s favor following a verdict from the International Trade Commission (ITC). <\/p>\n There are two finishes for the Diesel Ultrahuman Ring. There\u2019s a \u201cdistressed black\u201d Phantom style, where the silver base shows through a deliberately aged-looking black paint job. Cryo is a cleaner and shinier-looking silver finish. <\/p>\n The pattern on the ring\u2019s exterior represents two takes on the stylised \u201cD\u201d of the Diesel logo, one facing the other. And it\u2019s repeated around the ring\u2019s outer. <\/p>\n Its weight varies between 2.9g and 4.1g depending on the ring size, which is only fractionally heavier than the Ultrahuman Air Ring. That base smart ring<\/a> weights 2.4-3.6g. Both models are available in ring sizes 5 to 14. <\/p>\n Features remain consistent with Ultrahuman\u2019s existing smart rings. The Diesel Ultrahuman Ring has an optical heart rate sensor with red LEDs for blood oxygen saturation monitoring, 6-axis motion sensor and a temperature sensor. <\/p>\n This combo allows for all the usual smart ring stats. A Diesel Ultrahuman Ring provides sleep tracking, HRV readings, heart rate and more. <\/p>\n No subscription is required, but Ultrahuman does offer what it calls PowerPlug add-ons for additional metrics. These include cycle\/ovulation tracking (\u00a329.99 a year), atrial fibrillation detection (\u00a349.99 a year), and there\u2019s also an accidental damage protection plan (\u00a336 a year). <\/p>\n The Ultrahuman Diesel Ring is available to order now across the UK, EU, India and other territories, but there\u2019s no update on when or if the company will be able to sell in the U.S. again. <\/p>\n This is not the first time a wearable with Diesel branding has been released.
