Lando Norris just became F1 World Champion for the first time, which presumably means he\u2019s going to celebrate by buying a new hypercar<\/a> \u2013 maybe a McLaren, or maybe something else.<\/p>\n

We know we would.<\/p>\n

And unlike other celebrities who just buy stuff because they can, Lando actually knows what he\u2019s doing when it comes to his car collection.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, the crown jewel in his collection isn\u2019t actually a McLaren, and it\u2019s not even European.<\/p>\n

F1 drivers can buy any car they want, but they generally don\u2019t really drive them<\/p>\n

F1 drivers get first dibs on limited-edition supercars from the manufacturers they race for<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s kind of a big deal if you race for McLaren or Ferrari, maybe a little less relevant if you race for Williams.<\/p>\n

Although we\u2019re pretty sure any F1 driver could easily buy limited-edition vehicles from different manufacturers.<\/p>\n

After all, Lewis Hamilton bought a long list of rare Ferraris back when he was still at Mercedes<\/a>, even though he\u2019s now sold them all<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But the truth is, they hardly ever drive them<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Maybe they take them out for a quick spin around Monaco \u2013 where most of them live<\/a> \u2013 but they mostly buy these hypercars as investments and then drive company cars.<\/p>\n

For someone like Lando Norris, that company car is probably a McLaren Artura or another non-limited-edition McLaren.<\/p>\n

Lando Norris has an incredible car collection<\/p>\n

In addition to his daily drivers, F1 World Champion Lando Norris also owns an incredible collection of McLarens that aren\u2019t exactly standard.<\/p>\n

He has a McLaren 765LT Spider, a Senna, and a P1.<\/p>\n

McLaren even created a one-off life-size LEGO replica for his P1, pictured below<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Other cars Lando has in his collection are his Ferrari F40, a Porsche Carrera GT, a bespoke Land Rover Defender, a Lamborghini Miura, and even a\u00a0Fiat 500 Jolly Evocation.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, the real gem in his collection is American, and it isn\u2019t a new car.<\/p>\n

Lando owns a restomodded 1973 Plymouth Barracuda<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last year, Lando turned up to the F1<\/a> US Grand Prix in it, and as you can imagine, the crowd absolutely loved it.<\/p>\n
