The actress, who recently attended the Aaj Tak event, stated, \u201cThey are made less. Males constitute the majority of the population in our country. Change doesn\u2019t happen instantly; it will take time. But it will definitely happen. Films about women that resonate with audiences tend to perform well. ‘Mimi’, ‘Chhori’, ‘Dream Girl’, ‘Akeli’, and ‘Pink’ all did well. Heroism isn\u2019t gender-based. Females can also act as heroes, though it\u2019s rarely portrayed in our country.”<\/p>\n

Women faces challenges in the industry<\/p>\n

Talking about difficulties women face in the entertainment industry, Bharuccha accepted that it\u2019s especially challenging for female actors. The actress shared that starting her career in Bollywood with a comedy led her to certain stereotypes. \u201cWhen I did ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, my performance was seen as a joke. People thought I was only suited for commercial films. But when ‘Chhori’ came along, I grabbed the opportunity and changed those perceptions\u201d, she said.<\/p>\n

Nushrratt Bharuccha\u2019s recent appearance<\/p>\n

On the work front, Nushrratt Bharuccha recently made her appearance in an OTT film \u2018Chhori 2\u2019. Directed by Vishal Furia<\/a>, she was seen playing Sakshi, a mother fiercely protecting her daughter. It also stars Soha Ali Khan<\/a>, Gashmeer Mahajan and Hardika Sharma in lead roles.<\/p>\n

Nushrratt Bharuccha\u2019s coming project<\/p>\n

Apart from \u2018Chhori 2\u2019, Nushrratt has been part of several hit movies such as \u2018Dream Girl\u2019 and \u2018Mimi\u2019.
