Jackman is understood to have been shocked that Furness is against the plan, as he believed their relationship was improving since their split.<\/p>\n
“He was telling mates this October how peaceful everything felt. Now, he\u2019s walking on eggshells again. He doesn\u2019t want to ruin anyone\u2019s Christmas and neither does Sutton, but he\u2019s torn over how to handle this.\u201d<\/p>\n
If Foster does make the trip Down Under with Jackman, it would come seven months after Furness stunned many when she released a statement to the media that suggested her ex-husband may have been unfaithful.<\/p>\n
“My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,” she said earlier this year.<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God\/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working for us.”<\/p>\n
A separate source told New Idea the emergence of Jackman and Foster as a public couple has been a tough pill for Furness to swallow.<\/p>\n
\u201cHugh and Sutton are everywhere right now \u2013 red carpets, concerts, even cuddling in the street,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s like he\u2019s taken their truce as a green light to bring Sutton front and centre of his world \u2013 and it\u2019s putting pressure on Deb that she\u2019s not ready to deal with.<\/p>\n
