Bad Bunny<\/a> took a painful-looking tumble in front of 65,000 fans in Mexico City this week.<\/p>\n

The Puerto Rican rapper, 31, was performing his hit single Efecto on-stage at the GNP Seguros Stadium,\ufeff when he slid on-stage.<\/p>\n

Screams turned to gasps as the musician dropped to the ground in a move many high-profile performers have unfortunately suffered in the past.<\/a><\/p>\n

He slipped \ufeffbackwards during his tumble, landing in a seated position on the floor.<\/p>\n

But while many singers usually get back up wthin seconds<\/a>, Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Ocasio,\ufeff decided to revel in the moment.<\/p>\n

He sat on-stage for a few beats as the crowd continued to scream his lyrics around him, before standing up and raising his hand in the air while everyone sang along.<\/p>\n

He’s \ufeffnot the only one to suffer a fall on-stage in recent times, joining the likes of Olivia Rodrigo<\/a>, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.<\/p>\n

The incident comes two months before the musician is set to perform at the Super Bowl Half Time show. \ufeff<\/a><\/p>\n

The news was announced earlier this year, with Bad Bunny saying in a statement: “\ufeffWhat I’m feeling goes beyond myself<\/p>\n

“It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown\u2026 this is for my people, my culture, and our history.<\/p>\n

“Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”<\/p>\n

Roc Nation founder Jay-Z said in a statement that what Bad Bunny has “done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honoured to have him on the world’s biggest stage.”<\/p>\n

The move was met with some controversy, considering the fact he’s \ufeffbeen vocal in his opposition to President Donald Trump and his policies.<\/p>\n

He recently decided to do a 31-day residency in \ufeffPuerto Rico, avoiding stops in the US over concerns about the mass deportation of Latinos.<\/p>\n

Trump said in an interview with Newsmax he had “never heard of” Bad Bunny.<\/p>\n

“I don’t know who he is,” Trump said. “I don’t know why they’re doing it. It’s, like, crazy. And then they blame it on some promoter they hired to pick up entertainment. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.”<\/p>\n

The singer has won three Grammys and 12 Latin Grammys.<\/p>\n

Kendrick Lamar performed at the most recent Super Bowl in New Orleans<\/a>, setting the record for the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show with 133.5 million viewers.<\/p>\n

His performance surpassed the audience for Michael Jackson’s 1993 show.<\/p>\n
