A derelict former mental health referral unit in Clifton could be turned into a home under new plans.<\/p>\n
An application to change the use class of the building, in The Avenue, to a flexible residential dwelling has been lodged with City of York Council.<\/p>\n
Plans stated the council currently owns the building but is seeking to sell it and it has stood derelict for a substantial period of time.<\/p>\n
They added further applications for works to refurbish and renovate the building would follow.<\/p>\n
The application to change the use of the building showed three living rooms, a kitchen and dining room on the converted ground floor.<\/p>\n
Six bedrooms would be on the first floor.<\/p>\n
Permission for the works themselves would come as part of a separate application to the submitted plans which deal with the use class of the building.<\/p>\n
Plans stated the building was in a highly-sustainable location near several shops and services a short distance away by foot or public transport.<\/p>\n
