{"id":343071,"date":"2025-12-12T12:00:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-12T12:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/343071\/"},"modified":"2025-12-12T12:00:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-12T12:00:09","slug":"the-good-quality-a-former-motogp-winner-is-bringing-to-world-superbikes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/343071\/","title":{"rendered":"The \u201cgood quality\u201d a former MotoGP winner is bringing to World Superbikes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BMW World Superbike team boss Shaun Muir has praised MotoGP race winner Miguel Oliveira\u2019s \u201cintrospective\u201d approach following his first test at Jerez.<\/p>\n<p>After seven seasons in MotoGP, which yielded five grand prix victories, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/911996\/miguel-oliveira\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Miguel Oliveira<\/a> moves to World Superbikes in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He takes three-time World Superbike champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/wsbk\/racer\/995265\/toprak-razgatlioglu\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Toprak Razgatlioglu<\/a>\u2019s place at BMW, who has, in turn, taken the Portuguese rider\u2019s Pramac Yamaha seat in MotoGP.<\/p>\n<p>Oliveira will be joined by fellow former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MotoGP<\/a> star Danilo Petrucci at BMW next year.<\/p>\n<p>The Portuguese rider sampled BMW\u2019s World Superbike machinery recently at the post-season Jerez test, where his approach already impressed the team.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMiguel is more introspective, a thinker,\u201d Shaun Muir told Germany\u2019s Speedweek.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBefore he talks about something, he wants to analyse everything and think it through.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter just one test, it\u2019s still a bit too early to say anything about his riding style and feedback.<\/p>\n<p>But he\u2019s definitely a very thoughtful rider who knows exactly what he wants from the bike.
