Both the Armenian and Croatian Heads of Delegation have previously sat on the Reference Group and stood for election to the group earlier this year. Under the rules of the Reference Group, both appear to have been invited to the group based on \u201ccompetence and previous experience\u201d, with up to two members able to be invited.<\/p>\n<p>The Eurovision Song Contest Reference Group is now formed of:<\/p>\n<p>Anna Maria Bordas (RTVE) \u2013 Chairperson<br \/>\nEbba Adielsson (SVT) \u2013 Eurovision 2024 Host Broadcaster<br \/>\nMoritz Stadler (SRG SSR) \u2013 Eurovision 2025 Host Broadcaster<br \/>\nCarla Bugalho (RTP)<br \/>\nMolly Plank (DR)<br \/>\nClaudia van der Pas (AVROTROS)<br \/>\nTomislav \u0160tengl (HRT)<br \/>\nDavid Tserunyan (AMPTV)<\/p>\n<p>They will be joined by the Executive Producer for Eurovision 2026 and the Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor for the coming contest in Austria.<\/p>\n<p>The Eurovision Song Contest Reference Group, established by the European Broadcasting Union\u2019s (EBU) Television Committee, holds significant responsibility, including:<\/p>\n<p>Approving the development and future format of Eurovision.<br \/>\nSecuring financial support for the competition.<br \/>\nModernising the Eurovision brand and raising its global profile.<br \/>\nSupervising the yearly preparations of the Host Broadcaster.<\/p>\n<p>Composed of a chairperson, elected members who are Heads of Delegations, executive producers from previous and current host countries, and invited members with relevant expertise, the group meets four to five times annually.
