SEATTLE — The Seattle Seahawks<\/a> activated starting center Jalen Sundell<\/a> and tight end Eric Saubert<\/a> off injured reserve Saturday, the team announced.<\/p>\n

They also activated rookie defensive lineman Rylie Mills<\/a> off the non-football injury list and placed rookie tight end Elijah Arroyo<\/a> on IR with a knee injury.<\/p>\n

Sundell returns after missing the last four games with a knee injury. He was listed as questionable to play Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sundell started the first nine games at center. Mike Macdonald declined to say this week where he’ll play upon his return amid speculation that Seattle may insert him at right guard, where Anthony Bradford<\/a> has been up and down this season.<\/p>\n

Saubert returns after missing the last six games with a calf injury, and he does so with a new contract as the Seahawks are signing him to a one-year extension, a source confirmed Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Seahawks released Saubert earlier this season and immediately signed him back with an extension in mind. He was initially on a veteran salary benefit deal, which could not be extended during the season. So they re-signed him to a standard deal and then worked towards a new one.<\/p>\n

Saubert had been Seattle’s No. 3 tight end behind AJ Barner<\/a> and Arroyo, who was hurt last week and will have to miss at least the next four games.<\/p>\n

Mills, a fifth-round pick from Notre Dame, is coming back from a torn ACL he suffered last December.<\/p>\n

The Seahawks had two open spots in their 53-man roster after waiving running back Cam Akers<\/a> and cornerback Shaquill Griffin<\/a>, whom they’ve since re-signed to their practice squad.<\/p>\n
