<\/p>\nThe NRL world has sung the praises of Reece Walsh as he celebrated a special off-field milestone alongside his ex-partner Freda Puru, with their four-year-old daughter Leila graduating from kindergarten.<\/p>\n
The Broncos star, Puru and the couple\u2019s extended family came along on Friday to celebrate the special day with Leila.<\/p>\n
Pictures shared by Walsh on Instagram show the four-year-old posing in front of a \u201cClass of 2025\u201d sign, proudly smiling dressed in celebratory Pacific Island accessories such as leis, a flower crown and a ribbon necklace.<\/p>\n
She was also given flowers and a teddy bear to mark the special occasion.<\/p>\n
Walsh and Puru were seen watching on proudly as Leila reached the milestone, with the occasion drawing smiles from family members gathered for the celebration.<\/p>\n
The heartwarming moment was celebrated online as fans pointed to the lovely fact Walsh and Puru continue to successfully coparent the bubbly daughter despite no longer being together.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is what co-parenting should look like. Putting the child first. Sometimes relationships don\u2019t work out but that doesn\u2019t mean kids should suffer,\u201d one commented on a photo of Walsh, Leila and Puru.<\/p>\n
\u201cLove him or dislike him he does a fantastic job being a dad to Leila and respecting his baby mum. It takes a special person to do that and has nothing to do with money or fame,\u201d another added.<\/p>\n

Other footy stars congratulated Walsh and Leila on the big milestone.<\/p>\n

The heartwarming family moment caps off what has been an incredible end to 2025 for Walsh, who has credited his daughter throughout as his \u201cstrength through it all\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI won the day you entered my life, the rest is just a bonus,\u201d he said following the Broncos\u2019 2025 grand final triumph.<\/p>\n
Walsh and Puru have been separated since May 2023, going their separate ways after nearly five years together. <\/p>\n
Since then, the pair have kept their private lives personal but continue to remain on good terms as they co-parent Leila. <\/p>\n
