Years before his death on July 22 at the age of 76, Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> was quoted as saying that he wanted his funeral to be a \u201ccelebration\u201d and not a \u201cmope-fest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Helping him accomplish that goal on Wednesday, July 30 was Bostin Brass Band<\/a>, a 13-year-old New Orleans-style combo that marched in his funeral procession and performed Ozzy and Black Sabbath classics.<\/p>\n

The group that hails from Osbourne\u2019s hometown of Birmingham, England has performed the material in the past, according to Billboard<\/a>. They were seen and heard playing Ozzy\u2019s 1980 classic \u201cCrazy Train\u201d as the Osbourne family\u2014his widow Sharon and his adult children Jack<\/a>, Kelly<\/a> and Aimee<\/a>\u2014got out of their SUVS and stopped on Black Sabbath Bridge. The band then stopped playing to allow the family to mourn in a moment of silence.<\/p>\n

Bostin Brass Band trumpeter Aaron Diaz downplayed the group\u2019s role. \u201cWe were just a conduit of this emotion,\u201d he told Billboard. \u201cWe\u2019re aiding that collective moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yet Even Diaz found himself overcome with emotion as the event wound down.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy the end, on the square during the crowd dispersal, we played [the Black Sabbath ballad] \u2018Changes.\u2019 Every time I went to the chorus, I covered my eyes. I don\u2019t think I looked anyone in the eye for a good 15 minutes. It was too much,\u201d he told the outlet.<\/p>\n

Though the group had yet to share footage or photos from the procession, fans did respond to a post<\/a> from July 29 advertising their services.<\/p>\n
