Devin Haney<\/a> and his trainer-father Bill Haney are basking in the glow of their recent victory over Brian Norman Jr.<\/p>\n

Haney became a three-division world champion with a resurgent display, outboxing the hard-hitting Norman<\/a> to hand him the first loss of his career.<\/p>\n

The points victory suggested Haney had put his previous two outings \u2014 against Ryan Garcia and Arnold Barboza \u2014 firmly behind him, and his father wasted little time in calling out one of the sport\u2019s biggest names.<\/p>\n

In a video with Fight Hub TV<\/a>, Bill Haney had a message for Gervonta Davis<\/a> and his team, offering \u2018Tank\u2019 the chance to face his son for his new WBO welterweight title next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cCoach Calvin [Ford], Coach [Ellis], Team Tank Davis, I got some good news and I got some bad news. The good news is Devin bought me another Mercedes. Another one. The bad news is the Grinch didn\u2019t buy you guys one, but \u2018Deebo\u2019 is looking for him and he\u2019s on the list. So let\u2019s see if in 2026 you can\u2019t influence your man to be more like [Devin].\u201d<\/p>\n

Davis currently holds the WBA lightweight title, but a move 12lbs north to 147 to face Haney would not necessarily be considered a stretch as \u201cTank\u201d had been set to challenge cruiserweight crossover star Jake Paul<\/a> last month month before the bout was cancelled amid serious allegations made against Davis.<\/p>\n
