Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) put a bow on its events for 2025 last night (Sat., Dec. 13, 2025), as UFC Vegas 112<\/a> marked the last card that would stream on ESPN+<\/a>. In the main event of the evening, Manel Kape defeated Brandon Royval via technical knockout (TKO) in the very first round to make his case for a shot at the Flyweight title (see it again here<\/a>). In the co-main event, Kevin Vallejos handed Giga Chikadze his third straight defeat thanks to a first-round stoppage win (see it again here<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Who He Should Face Next: Tatsuro Taira<\/p>\n

Last week I suggested Taira get the first shot<\/a> at trying to dethrone newly-crowned champion, Joshua Van, but things may change after Kape\u2019s big win last night (see it here<\/a>). I\u2019m not suggesting Kape leapfrog Taira, but the promotion could very well decided to book a title eliminator fight between the two surging 125-pound contenders to see who gets the next title fight. At worst, Taira will get first dibs and Kape will have to either wait a little longer or take another fight in the interim.<\/p>\n

Who He Should Face Next: Pat Sabatini<\/p>\n

Vallejos secured a huge win \u2014 his sixth overall, third under the UFC banner \u2014 by knocking out Giga Chikadze in spectacular fashion<\/a>. Up next for the streaking contender, a showdown against Sabatini might be interesting. Sabatini is currently on a three-fight win streak and was last seen defeating Chepe Mariscal at UFC 322 earlier this year. In his five years with the promotion, Sabatini has secured an overall record of 8-2.<\/p>\n

Winner: Cezary Oleksiejczuk<\/p>\n

Who He Should Face Next: Ismail Naurdiev<\/p>\n

Oleksiejczuk impressed in his UFC debut by defeating Cesar Almeida via unanimous decision. With five straight wins under his belt, a showdown against Naurdiev might be in order. Naurdiev is coming off a first-round knockout win over Ryan Loder a few weeks ago (see it again here<\/a>), putting him at 2-1 so far inside the Octagon. Both men are just getting started in their respective UFC careers, so this will be a good matchup between two young and talented contenders to see who can take a huge step forward.<\/p>\n

Who He Should Face Next: Jamall Emmers<\/p>\n

Costa improved his win streak to five in a row after defeating Morgan Charriere via first-round knockout (see it here<\/a>). He is inching closer to a Top 15 ranking<\/a>, and another big win could do the trick. If he can get that against Emmers he would have a good case at getting in. Emmers is currently on a two-fight win streak and was last seen defeating Hyder Amil just last month.<\/p>\n

Who He Should Face Next: Hernandez vs. Johnson winner<\/p>\n

Green snapped his two-fight losing streak and got his hand raised for the first time in a long time after defeating Lance Gibson Jr. via split-decision. That was his first win since April 2024, and now he will look to use that as a momentum booster moving forward. I would like to see Green face off against the winner of the upcoming 155-pound showdown between Alexander Hernandez and Michael Johnson, which is booked for a \u201cFight Night\u201d event on Jan. 24, 2026.<\/p>\n
