WHAT\u2019S BEEN SAID?<\/p>\n
Velazquez\u2019s coach Hector Bermudez said that Tszyu is now a shot fighter and is set to be knocked out or will retire on his stool.<\/p>\n
\u201cTim is not the same fighter that he was,\u201d the trainer said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe human body taking that punishment, being knocked out, deciding that he\u2019d had enough, quitting, that\u2019s not going to be the same fighter.<\/p>\n
\u201cTim Tszyu is ready to retire \u2026 and we\u2019re gunna help him out.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tszyu fired back calling the American coach a \u201chyena\u201d who only bites when someone is down.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m going to let my hands do the talking,\u201d said Tszyu.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause I\u2019m confident in my ability, in what I possess .. and he\u2019ll feel it.\u201d<\/p>\n
WHAT\u2019S NEW WITH TSZYU?<\/p>\n
Back in September, Tszyu made headlines by announcing that he was ditching longtime coach Igor Goloubev and manager Glen Jennings.<\/p>\n
Tszyu took himself Stateside to find a new coach, and eventually landed with famed Cuban coach Pedro Diaz – whose more than 20 world champions include the likes of Miguel Cotto, Filip Hrgovi\u0107 and Guillermo Rigondeaux.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn only a short space of time, he\u2019s become like a father figure for me,\u201d said Tszyu.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd that means while there may be times where you might want to step in and question things, or try to make them more to how I might want it, everything is his call.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause I know he\u2019s willing to go to war alongside me.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd Pedro and his team, man, they\u2019ve been together for such a long time and are so professional.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Aussie has also ditched his old fight name \u201cThe Soul Taker\u201d and is embracing \u201cThe Phoenix\u201d as a symbol of his rebirth.<\/p>\n
Tszyu also unveiled a new manager in Darcy Ellis and a new matchmaker in Mike Altamura.<\/p>\n

WHAT ABOUT ON THE UNDERCARD?<\/p>\n
Featherweight star Sam Goodman returns to the ring for the first time since his thrilling world title clash earlier this year, squaring off with Tyler Blizzard \u2014 a familiar foe who beat him during their amateur days.<\/p>\n
Goodman has since described his opponent as a \u201cnegative fighter\u201d and says he\u2019s not on his level.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, Rising Australian prospect Callum Peters will go head-to-head with talented rival Cody Beekin for the Australian middleweight title in what promises to be a fight to watch. <\/p>\n
Peters has been tipped for very big things, but Beekin is expected to push him every step of the way.<\/p>\n
Popular Olympic boxer Paulo Aokuso will also be fighting on the card against Shukhrat Abdullaev in a light heavyweight contest.<\/p>\n
