Kendal Calling has announced its 2026 line-up, including one of its “biggest ever headliners”.<\/p>\n

Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro will take to the main stage at Lowther Deer Park, in the Lake District, following the success of their 10th studio album Futique.<\/p>\n

They will be performing alongside fellow headliners Wolf Alice, The Kooks and Two Door Cinema Club.<\/p>\n

Festival co-founder Ben Robinson said his team had been courting Biffy Clyro “like blushing school kids for a decade” and their performance would be a “true highlight”.<\/p>\n

“As will Wolf Alice as they bring a big smile to the Cumbrian hills,” he said. <\/p>\n

“Like any classic movie it’s not all about the leading roles, as ever we’re welcoming a cast of hundreds of artists to our stages and I can’t wait for you all to dig into this incredible group of musicians.”<\/p>\n

It comes as Biffy Clyro bass player James Johnston announced he would not join the band on their upcoming tour<\/a> due to mental health and addiction issues.<\/p>\n

The festival takes place from 30 July until 2 August and will see more than 120 acts perform to about 40,000 people.<\/p>\n

Other musical acts include Scissor Sisters, Gabrielle, The Libertines, Groove Armada and The Vaccines.<\/p>\n

Fans of the festival will be pleased to hear regular guests Dick & Dom and The Lancashire Hotpots will also be making an appearance.<\/p>\n

While many of the acts have now been announced, Kendal Calling will reveal more of its 2026 programme in the coming months.<\/p>\n

It will include comedy, live art, installations, the illuminated wonderland of Lost Eden, Kids Calling, parties, talks, films and parades.<\/p>\n

Kendal Calling was founded in 2006, when it was just a two-day event with capacity for 900 people.<\/p>\n

The festival has sold out each year and is set to do the same in 2026 – as most of the tickets were bought before the acts were even announced.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Kendal Calling has announced its 2026 line-up, including one of its “biggest ever headliners”.
