\n Jake Bowey has signed a contract extension with the Demons.\n <\/p>\n
JAKE BOWEY has showed his commitment to the red and blue, signing a contract extension until the end of the 2028 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The diminutive defender\u00a0had a stellar 2025 season, averaging 22 disposals,\u00a0three tackles,\u00a0and 417 metres gained across his 23 games played.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He was rewarded with a fourth-place finish in\u00a0Melbourne\u2019s Best and Fairest count at the conclusion of the season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Tim Lamb,\u00a0Melbourne AFL List Manager,\u00a0said\u00a0the extension was\u00a0an indication\u00a0of the pivotal role that Bowey continues to play in the\u00a0AFL program.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cJake is developing into a key part of our backline, and is a\u00a0real asset for us,\u201d Lamp said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cHis\u00a0ability to win contests,\u00a0competitive drive, and\u00a0the way he\u00a0continues to strive to improve his game are\u00a0all qualities that he exemplifies within our team.\u00a0<\/p>\n
