It was not long ago that folks ran with a story that SiriusXM was \u201ccancelling\u201d Howard Stern, and that the shock jock\u2019s amazing run on the radio was coming to an end. <\/p>\n

Those folks got some bad news on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The \u201cKing of All Media\u201d announced on his show that he has signed a three-year contract extension with the company. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m happy to announce that I\u2019ve figured out a way to have it all,\u201d Stern said on his show.<\/a> \u201cMore free time and continuing to be on the radio. So yes, we are coming back for three years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m excited about it, because you know what? I do still love radio.\u201d<\/p>\n

This comes after months of speculation that the company was ready to part ways with the 71-year-old star, and that his staffers were looking for new work. Stern quickly shot those rumors down.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat pisses me off is now I can\u2019t leave,\u201d he said back in September. \u201cI\u2019ve been thinking about retiring. Now I can\u2019t, because then they\u2019ll say I got pushed out. So I\u2019ll be back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rumors still persisted until Stern\u2019s announcement on Tuesday. <\/p>\n

Details of Stern\u2019s latest deal have yet to be made public, but he has done well for himself across his time with the satellite radio and streaming company, too. <\/p>\n

CelebrityNetWorth.com estimates Stern<\/a> to be worth a whopping $650 million dollars. And, per the site, he has earned more than $1 billion during his time with SiriusXM alone. The site also reported that Stern\u2019s current deal, which is coming to an end, has paid him $120 million per year across the past five years. That said, the site also said that number is a bit deceiving because it claims that Stern pays the salaries of his show members such as Robin Quivers and Gary Dell-Abate and also pays for production costs.<\/p>\n

Still, after all the expenditures, the site estimated that Stern likely takes home around $90 million per year before taxes and agent fees.
