{"id":352992,"date":"2025-12-17T02:33:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-17T02:33:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/352992\/"},"modified":"2025-12-17T02:33:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T02:33:07","slug":"local-man-just-gonna-watch-the-cricket-for-a-bit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/352992\/","title":{"rendered":"Local Man Just Gonna Watch The Cricket For A Bit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WENDELL HUSSEY\u00a0|\u00a0Cadet\u00a0|\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.betootaadvocate.com\/local-man-just-gonna-watch-the-cricket-for-a-bit\/mailto:wendell@betootaadvocate.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CONTACT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A local man has today decided to just kick back a little bit. <\/p>\n<p>With the year essentially done for Brett Timms, the local office worker has decided to drop the pretence. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Yeah, it&#8217;s been a pretty heavy couple of days,&#8221; sighed the Betoota Heights local. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So I think it&#8217;s time to just sit back and touch some grass, or watch some cricket.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The bosses have left for lunch and I don&#8217;t forsee them coming back.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So I&#8217;m just popping it on the main TV in the office and rolling the chair around in front of it.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And of course imploring anyone else who likes the sound of Kooka on Willow to come and join me.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>When pressed on whether this would be what the next 3 days look like, Timms laughed. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If the Poms can last three days,&#8221; he said. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But yes, hopefully.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve got a few things to do, but most of them can be wrapped up in the lunch and tea breaks.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And any that can&#8217;t, are a 2026 problem.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So I&#8217;m switching from the phone on my desk next to my computer to the big screen.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Need some runs here though.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>No more to come. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"WENDELL HUSSEY\u00a0|\u00a0Cadet\u00a0|\u00a0CONTACT A local man has today decided to just kick back a little bit.
