Conor McGregor was sued for sexual assault<\/a> and lost<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The former UFC two-division champion quickly filed an appeal<\/a>, citing \u201cbombshell<\/a>\u201d testimony that would eventually clear his name. Instead, \u201cNotorious\u201d was forced to withdraw the bogus evidence<\/a> and subsequently faced allegations of perjury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Not surprisingly, his appeal crashed and burned today in Dublin court.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am satisfied potential prejudice to Mr McGregor is simply not established,\u201d the judge said (via Irish Mirror<\/a>). \u201cThe trial judge was astute. This ground of appeal therefore fails. I find there is nothing in them justify setting aside finding of the jury. I therefore dismiss the appeal in its entirety.\u201d<\/p>\n

McGregor was not in court for today\u2019s ruling.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m deeply grateful for everyone who supported me, believed in me and stood by my side during this long and painful journey,\u201d victim Nikita Hand said in today\u2019s statement (via Irish Mirror<\/a>). \u201cThis appeal has retraumatized me over and over again. Being forced to relive it, what has happened has had a huge impact on me. For every survivor out there, I know how hard it is but please don\u2019t be silent, you deserve to be heard, you also deserve justice. Today I can finally move on and try to heal. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hand was awarded nearly \u20ac250,000 in damages, plus court costs.<\/p>\n

Much of the talk surrounding the \u201cNotorious\u201d UFC star has centered around his potential comeback. McGregor, 37, claims he\u2019s returned to the drug testing pool<\/a> in hopes of securing a spot on the upcoming White House card<\/a> in summer 2026.<\/p>\n
