Dangerous tackling includes, but is not limited to, tackling or attempting to tackle an opponent above the line of the shoulders even if the tackle starts below the line of the shoulders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph SCXW128811789 BCX8\">Under World Rugby\u2019s Sanctions for Foul Play, Law 9.13 carries the following sanction entry points Low-end: 2 weeks; Mid-range: 6 weeks; Top-end: 10 to 52 weeks<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetrugby.com\/news\/ireland-star-breaks-silence-on-horror-malcolm-marx-cleanout-and-subsequent-tackle-school-experience\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ireland star breaks silence on horror Malcolm Marx cleanout and subsequent \u2018tackle school\u2019 experience<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Not worthy of a red<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph SCXW128811789 BCX8\">An independent Disciplinary Committee comprising Jennifer Donovan (Ireland, Chair), Bogdan Zebega (Romania), and Gordon Black (Ireland) heard the case via video conference yesterday, Tuesday, 16 December. The Committee heard evidence and submissions from the player and his representatives, and from the EPCR Disciplinary Officer, Liam McTiernan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph SCXW128811789 BCX8\">Dan accepted that he had committed an act of foul play, but did not accept that it warranted a red card. The Committee sided with Dan\u2019s verdict, determining that the offence did not warrant a red card, and the citing complaint was therefore dismissed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph SCXW128811789 BCX8\">Dan is free to play immediately, although the EPCR has the right to appeal the decision, should they wish to.<\/p>\n<p>Dan is expected to return to action straight away, having firmly secured the number one hooker position in Jamie George\u2019s relative absence this season so far.
