The co-hosts of The View are not buying Susie Wiles\u2019s story that her bombshell Vanity Fair interview<\/a>, in which the White House chief of staff disparaged the administration appointed by her boss, Donald Trump, was taken out of context.<\/p>\n

Throughout 11 interviews<\/a> with journalist Chris Whipple, Wiles criticized Trump\u2019s first year in office and described the president as having an \u201calcoholic\u2019s personality.\u201d<\/a> She labeled Vice President JD Vance as a \u201cconspiracy theorist,\u201d and called Elon Musk an \u201cavowed ketamine\u201d user<\/a> who slept in a sleeping bag.<\/p>\n

Shortly after the two-part profile was published Tuesday, Wiles<\/a> issued a statement saying that her remarks were taken out of context and that the story<\/a> was a \u201chit piece\u201d aiming to bring down Trump \u2014 but former Trump aide Alyssa Farah Griffin<\/a> thinks that the notoriously tough strategist shared the fiery remarks on purpose.<\/p>\n

Griffin, 36, told her TV co-hosts on ABC\u2019s popular talk show that she predicts Wiles is preparing to leave Trump\u2019s administration in the rumored turnover expected in the cabinet<\/a> next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think she was intentional in this,\u201d Griffin said, speculating that Wiles \u201cmay be thinking of leaving next year.\u201d<\/p>\n

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles described Donald Trump as having an \u2018alcoholic\u2019s personality\u2019 (AP)<\/p>\n

She hypothesized: \u201cI think she wanted to put on the record some things she didn\u2019t agree with. She criticized the tariffs. She basically explained they shouldn\u2019t have gone the way they did. She criticized cutting USAID, which gutted American soft power, and the handling of the Epstein files.\u201d<\/p>\n

Griffin said the \u201cjuiciest part\u201d of the story for her was the contrast in Wiles\u2019 evaluations of Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The co-host noted that while Wiles critiqued many of her colleagues, she appeared to only have praise for Rubio as she spoke of his sincerity and strong principles. The apparent soft spot led Griffin to believe that Wiles will be working for Rubio when the 2028 presidential election rolls around, though Rubio has dodged questions<\/a> about his potential run.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Wiles] basically calls the vice president an opportunist, more or less, and basically says he\u2019s a conspiracy theorist,\u201d Griffin said about the article. \u201cSo I\u2019m looking at 2028, and Susie Wiles, the most important Republican political operative in America, is squarely team Rubio.\u201d<\/p>\n

Co-host Sunny Hostin<\/a> agreed with Griffin about Wiles knowingly doing the piece and added that Wiles was worried about \u201cpreserving her legacy\u201d so \u201cshe can have a future in politics.\u201d<\/p>\n

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung responded to Griffin\u2019s speculation with the following insult shared with The Independent: \u201cAlyssa Farah Griffin is a stone-cold loser who suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted her pea-sized brain. Instead of hanging around the Bombay Club, she should say thank you to President Trump and the entire White House.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wiles has so far insisted the article was a “disingenuously framed hit piece.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n
