Months after filing lawsuits against each other, and over a year since the band got into an onstage fight at a Boston show, Jane\u2019s Addiction<\/a> are reuniting \u2026in order to break up for good. Perry Farrell and the Jane\u2019s Addiction official account issued a joint statement on Instagram, offering an apology to his bandmates and the fans. \u201cI\u2019d like to address what happened on stage last year,\u201d Farrell wrote. \u201cI\u2019ve reflected on it and know I didn\u2019t handle myself the way I should have. I apologize to our patrons and my bandmates for losing my temper and for disrupting the show.\u201d Shortly after that, the band\u2019s IG issued an additional statement that read in part \u201cToday we are here to announce that we have come together one last time to resolve our differences, so that the legacy of Jane\u2019s Addiction will remain the work the four of us created together.\u201d<\/p>\n This all started in September 2024<\/a>. Farrell was caught on camera punching Dave Navarro at a Boston show. A few days after the scuffle, the band canceled the rest of their reunion tour dates. The following year, Navarro Eric Avery, and Stephen Perkins sued Farrell for $10 million<\/a>. They cited emotional distress and breach of contract as the main complaints, referring to the canceled tour dates. Farrell filed countersuit, accusing the band of years of bullying. His suit claimed he had no say in canceling the tour and \u201cwould not have agreed to do so due to the financial and reputational consequences\u201d (per Variety<\/a>).
