Richmond Golf Club – Captains’ Drive-in for 2026<\/p>\n
The new captains for 2026 took part in the annual tradition of the drive-in, where each drives off the first tee, to rapturous applause from the membership gathered to watch, on Sunday, December 14<\/p>\n

All four captains hit great drives.<\/p>\n
Then followed a shotgun start for all the members present to play in the competition for the day.<\/p>\n
The competition winners were as follows: ladies \u2013 Mary Ann Hide, Cherry Mains, Nicola Bailey, and Clair Jones; gents \u2013 John Simpson, Ian Allan, Bob Amor, and Jon Jarvis; mixed \u2013 Eileen Catt, Lynda Thorp, Bobby Walker, and Martin Mcardle.<\/p>\n
Nearest the Pins were Mary Ann Hide and Steve Bowe.<\/p>\n
