\n The star midfielder has been added to the Victorian squad for next year\u2019s AAMI AFL Origin clash.\n <\/p>\n

Western Bulldogs midfielder Ed Richards has been added to the Victorian squad for next year\u2019s AAMI AFL Origin match at Optus Stadium.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The honour comes after Richards\u2019 breakout 2025 campaign, which saw him named All Australian for the first time and win his maiden Charles Sutton Medal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He joins teammates Marcus Bontempelli and Sam Darcy in the 21-player squad, with Rory Lobb and Aaron Naughton named to represent Western Australia.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The remaining squad members will be announced early next year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 2026 AAMI AFL Origin game will be broadcast on Channel 7 and Fox, as well as 7Plus and Kayo.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The match will begin at 4:40pm AWST\/7:40pm AEDT. Tickets for the AAMI AFL Origin are on sale now, for more information head to www.origin.afl<\/a><\/p>\n
