Los Angeles Rams<\/a> star receiver Puka Nacua has been a hot topic in the days leading into Week 16 of the 2025 NFL season, and in more ways than one.<\/p>\n

Before Nacua totaled 225 yards and two touchdowns against the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> on a “Thursday Night Football” thriller, he had apologized for a recent controversy stemming from his appearance on a livestream with internet personality Adin Ross \u2014 all coming in the same timeframe as his brother, Samson, reportedly being arrested for stealing a Los Angeles Lakers rookie’s car.<\/p>\n

Puka Nacua criticized NFL officials on Ross’ livestream, then deleted a social media post after Thursday’s game that said, “Can’t say I was wrong” and “Appreciate you stripes for your contributions. Lol.” The receiver also apologized after acting out a gesture alongside Ross that included an antisemitic trope as a touchdown dance, raising the question of whether the league would discipline the Rams star for either instance.<\/p>\n

Here’s what’s known about whether Nacua will be fined.<\/p>\n

Will Puka Nacua get fined?<\/p>\n

The NFL has not yet announced any discipline for Nacua for his criticism of officials, or for his antisemitism controversy.<\/p>\n

Nacua posted a statement to social media on Thursday apologizing for the gesture he made as instructed by Ross, writing he had “no idea this act was antisemetic in nature and perpetuated harmful stereotypes against Jewish people.”<\/p>\n

The NFL also released a statement on the matter.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe NFL strongly condemns all forms of discrimination and derogatory behavior directed towards any group or individual,” the league’s statement said,\u00a0per Ian Rapoport<\/a>. “The continuing rise of antisemitism must be addressed across the world, and the NFL will continue to stand with our partners in this fight. Hatred has no place in our sport or society.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Nacua’s criticism of NFL officials, which began with him saying “refs are the worst” while suggesting some of them only make calls to get on TV while on Ross’ livestream, it’s also unclear whether the NFL, or the Rams, are considering discipline for the wide receiver. Nacua acknowledged while on the livestream that he could be fined for his comments.<\/p>\n

Minutes after the Rams’ loss to the Seahawks on Friday, Nacua appeared to double-down on his referee comments, writing “Can’t say I was wrong” and “Appreciate you stripes for your contributions. Lol” on social media. Afterward, when asked by reporters about his post, Nacua said he sent it in “a moment of frustration.”<\/p>\n

Rams head coach Sean McVay also spoke on Nacua’s recent actions, saying about the antisemitism controversy that he doesn’t think Nacua “understood the totality of some of the things.”<\/p>\n

Puka Nacua Adin Ross livestream<\/p>\n

Puka Nacua appeared on Adin Ross’ livestream on Tuesday.\u00a0He told the hosts that the stream was supposed to take place at Rams facilities, but\u00a0when they attempted to enter the facility on Tuesday, they were denied entry.<\/p>\n
