His last LP was the divisive <a href=\"https:\/\/stereogum.com\/1997978\/asap-rocky-testing-stream\/music\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Testing<\/a>, which came out way back in May 2018. After years of teasing, Don&#8217;t Be Dumb was originally slated for an August 2024 release date, which was <a href=\"https:\/\/stereogum.com\/2277331\/aap-rockys-dont-be-dumb-pushed-back-again-but-tim-burton-was-fucking-with-it-heavy\/news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">pushed back<\/a> after the release of the single &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stereogum.com\/2274429\/aap-rocky-highjack-feat-jessica-pratt\/music\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Highjack<\/a>,&#8221; featuring Jessica Pratt. (Remember that? Good song!) Last month, Rocky <a href=\"https:\/\/stereogum.com\/2480062\/aap-rocky-says-dont-be-dumb-is-still-coming-this-year-and-danny-elfman-scored-a-bunch-of-it\/news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">claimed<\/a> that Don&#8217;t Be Dumb would be out by the end of the year. Well, that won&#8217;t happen. But now the album finally has a(nother) release date, and we&#8217;ll apparently finally get it in about a month.<\/p>\n<p>On Instagram today, A$AP Rocky posted the big news: Don&#8217;t Be Dumb is finally coming out in all formats on Jan. 16. The cover art comes from big-deal movie director Tim Burton. I guess it&#8217;s Rocky as a frog with a megaphone? I don&#8217;t know what that&#8217;s all about. There are a bunch of alternate covers, too, and you can click through them all in the slides below. They look a lot like that one, but with different characters.<\/p>\n<p>Rocky first mentioned Tim Burton&#8217;s involvement on Instagram earlier this week.
