Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho doesn\u2019t appear close to an exit, but he could secure the move he really wants in August.<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim<\/a> has brought attacking changes to Manchester United<\/a> this summer, first signing Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bryan Mbeumo has now joined United<\/a> from Brentford, completing a protracted move to Old Trafford<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n

More signings are wanted, with United chasing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko<\/a> to lead Amorim\u2019s new-look attack.<\/p>\n

United need to offload players, though, and progress has been slow, with Marcus Rashford\u2019s move to Barcelona<\/a> being the only departure in the final third.<\/p>\n

Antony is wanted by Al-Nassr<\/a>, but no deal has been done, and Juventus have stalled on signing Jadon Sancho<\/a>, leaving United in limbo.<\/p>\n

Then there is Alejandro Garnacho<\/a>, who finds himself on the fringes of Amorim\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n

Garnacho has been told to leave United<\/a> this summer, but the Argentinian is still on the books as things stand.<\/p>\n

Interest has bubbled away over the summer, but United haven\u2019t really come close to securing a sale.<\/p>\n

The Telegraph<\/a> now claim that Garnacho has made Chelsea his first choice as he plots a summer move away from United.<\/p>\n

Chelsea are keen on the wide man, and are understood to have run background checks on Garnacho to learn more about his character and personality.<\/p>\n

Chelsea are happy with what they have found so far, and are preparing to make a move for Garnacho\u2019s signature.<\/p>\n

The Blues are waiting for outgoings before making a firm move for Garnacho, though, with a handful of players available.<\/p>\n

Enzo Maresca\u2019s side have taken a step forward in their pursuit of Garnacho, and they appear to have found all the information they need to launch a move in August.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Alejandro Garnacho exchange now looks unlikely<\/p>\n

Recent reports suggested that a swap deal involving Garnacho and Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson<\/a> was a possibility.<\/p>\n

Jackson has been bumped down Chelsea\u2019s pecking order and could leave Stamford Bridge this summer.<\/p>\n

United have at least weighed up Jackson, but appear to be focusing on signing Sesko as the new centre-forward.<\/p>\n

That means any Garnacho move to Chelsea now looks set to be cash rather than a part-exchange deal, with United hoping to bolster Amorim\u2019s transfer budget.<\/p>\n

Many United fans still see the potential in Garnacho, and seeing him join a Premier League rival may sting a little if he fulfils his potential over the coming years.<\/p>\n
