Oscar Piastri has just concluded his third F1 campaign, having joined the field as a McLaren rookie in 2023.<\/p>\n
This past year was his most successful in the sport to date, as for much of the year, the Australian held the lead of the standings.<\/p>\n
However, a dip in form in the latter stage of the campaign allowed team-mate Lando Norris to close the gap and ultimately seal the title at the final round in Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n
Earlier this season, Piastri signed a long-term contract extension with McLaren prior to his world championship challenge.<\/p>\n
However, the possibility of Piastri leaving the Woking-based squad has been raised by seven-time race winner Juan Pablo Montoya.<\/p>\n
The Colombian suggested that \u201cPiastri and\u00a0Mark Webber [his manager]\u00a0are already talking to another\u00a0F1\u00a0team\u201d, citing unhappiness with the Australian’s development.<\/p>\n
