Asked what he made of the t-shirt, McDonald said: \u201c\u2018Heady\u2019s (Travis Head) pretty cheeky. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s a cheeky individual. I didn\u2019t know what to make of it, really. It was an old picture, that\u2019s what it was. <\/p>\n
\u201cBit of a joke \u2014 no one\u2019s safe in our change room; that\u2019s how I take it. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe boys are full of banter and always make it fun, so I think it was a bit of fun.\u201d<\/p>\n
McDonald said he recalled posing for the now-popularised photo. <\/p>\n
\u201cI actually do remember the picture,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
\u201cI was 14 \u2026 I was selected, I think, for a country coaching class to go to Sydney. <\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know why they make people pose like that, but that\u2019s what they did back in the day.\u201d<\/p>\n
Asked if it was humbling to have that sort of recognition, McDonald said triumphs such as this summer\u2019s Ashes win would be reflected on fondly \u201cin time\u201d. <\/p>\n
\u201cI think it takes an entire group of people to achieve what we have been able to achieve in the last few years,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got an incredibly important support staff, coaches, team behind me that make it all work. <\/p>\n
\u201cIs it humbling? I don\u2019t know. You sort of move forward and even sitting here today, it\u2019s people reflecting on the Ashes series and yesterday it was full of work. <\/p>\n
\u201cI think when you win something you get a day off and (then) you\u2019re get back into it. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got some key (selection) decisions to make and we\u2019re always moving forward, so I think it\u2019s something we\u2019ll always reflect on in time. <\/p>\n
