Marc Marquez<\/a>\u2019s levels of domination surpassed expectations, as he scored 11 grand prix victories and 14 sprints wins on his way to a seventh premier class title.<\/p>\nThe Ducati rider really took control of the championship in the middle part of the campaign, when he went on a run of seven successive 37-point weekends between Aragon and Hungary.<\/p>\n
Injury forced him out of the final four rounds.<\/p>\n

Marquez doubts 2025 repeat next season<\/p>\n
Reflecting on last season, Marquez said the goal was always to fight for the title, but never expected the level of domination he achieved.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, I never imagined such a great year,\u201d he told El Periodico.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hoped that was the goal, I even said so, that I could try to fight for the world championship.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut, not like this, clinching the title with five races to go.<\/p>\n
\u201cRight now, I think it\u2019s almost impossible to repeat, because between the sprints and the races, there are so many points up for grabs every weekend, it\u2019s not easy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve had a very solid year, with a few mistakes, but winning a lot of races.\u201d<\/p>\n
Marquez suffered a complicated shoulder injury after a collision with Marco Bezzecchi at the Indonesian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
On his recovery, he noted: \u201cPhysically, we\u2019re improving, which is the important thing.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had four or five weeks of immobilisation, and naturally, the arm loses a lot of strength, but now we\u2019re gradually improving, with check-ups every two weeks to make sure everything is going well and is in order.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe bone needs to heal properly; we have to wait, and the ligament also needs to heal as well as possible.<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully, we can move on to a slightly more intensive rehabilitation soon.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut, for now, it\u2019s many hours on the treatment table, physiotherapy, hyperbaric chamber therapy – anything that helps is a bonus.\u201d<\/p>\n
