The show, done under the banner of another Jefferson podcast, “Road Trippin’,” had around 5 million views across Instagram, TikTok, X and Threads for Season 1. CCG Social produces the effort.

The league took over programming of NBA TV two months ago following a long run with TNT Sports, and this move to add content from Jefferson’s show to NBA TV is part of a newly launched “Basketcast” program that seeks to compile and present analysis, commentary and content from various basketball shows and voices.

Jefferson told SBJ that, while “The Richard Show” clips have been edited down to around 10 minutes, subjects typically sit for 30 or 35 minutes, so there is the ability to add length for a longer TV-type program. “I just feel very, very blessed to have created a show that they wanted to support,” Jefferson said.

Tim Duncan was among the more popular shows from Season 1. NBA TV and league channels will use that and other Season 1/Season 2 interviewees in the coming weeks. Having done fewer than 10 episodes so far, Jefferson said he doesn’t necessarily have a bucket list for interviewees. “Duncan would probably be No. 1 on my bucket list if I hadn’t got him, because I know him. But because I got him first, it kind of lightens the stress,” he said.

Asked about who were some of the funniest players he was around during a 17-year career in the NBA, Jefferson quickly mentioned Brandon Rush and Jameer Nelson as locker room jokers.

Jefferson also added that things are going “great” as he and Tim Legler form the new “A” booth for ESPN/ABC this season alongside play-by-play voice Mike Breen. Jefferson credited the smooth transition to similar moves he’s made in the past when switching with other talent, such as Sara Kustok, JJ Redick and Doris Burke.

Richard Jefferson will see his media presence continue to expand, as the NBA has a deal to distribute…

[557
64,63,726,794,590,163530,85
0":"post-367164","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-nba","8":"tag-au","9":"tag-australia","10":"tag-basketball","11":"tag-espn","12":"tag-nba","13":"tag-nba-tv","14":"tag-sports
["GET
