Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful have long wondered what happened to Hunter Tylo, who was last seen as Dr. Taylor Hayes in 2019. Now, Tylo is finally breaking her silence about what happened, and the reasons behind her decision to walk away.<\/p>\n

The actress spoke with The Unexpected Cosmology Podcast<\/a>, while there she shared why she left the show, and hasn\u2019t returned. \u201cI\u2019ve wanted to come back and talk to my fans for a long time.\u201d The actress began, \u201cThey [The Bold and the Beautiful] ask me to come back around 2021, and I said no, I\u2019m just not going to do that right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then shared how she was given an ultimatum by the show. \u201cThey said if you don\u2019t [return] then we are going to recast you.\u201d To which she quickly replied, \u201cI said alright.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress the explained how she knew her replacement. \u201cSo, they did. Actually with a friend of mine, Krista Allen, we have the same manager, Mark Galler.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if they thought it would make me mad,\u201d The actress continued, \u201cbut I said have fun, get ready for the roller-coaster ride, because it\u2019s not fun all the time.\u201d The actress shared how hard being on a soap can be saying, \u201cYou are non-stop expected to cry, you are in constant trauma when you are doing these shows. You end up living two lives. It\u2019s very very stressful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later in the interview Tylo said, \u201cThe reason I\u2019m not doing it [The Bold and the Beautiful] anymore is because the influence that I had on people by continuing to play these same storylines. I would ask [the show] could we do something different? Can my character be this or that or positive? Let\u2019s show her counseling someone in a session and they change their life for the better. All I do is cry, scream, yell, slap people across the face, wish them dead. Say I hate your guts to people, shove them over a balcony, run them over with a car. Why would anyone want to do that for very long, except for money.\u201d<\/p>\n

The role of Taylor Hayes has since been recast again in 2024 with former All My Children and Guiding Light star Rebecca Budigassuming the role.<\/p>\n

The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS and streams weeknights on Paramount+.<\/p>\n
