Vestavik departs the brand\u00a0five wild years after signing with them<\/a>. In that time, everything has changed, for Vestavik and GT. Despite intertwined fortunes, they part ways on very different trajectories.<\/p>\n Brage Vestavik\u2019s \u2018Trolldom\u2019 brings burly freeriding to the Canadian forest<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n On one side, GT is not exactly in a great place right now<\/a>, though not completely done. Even Hans Rey has, finally, said \u201cNo way\u201dto the brand<\/a>\u00a0after nearly 40 years together.<\/p>\n Vestavik, on the other hand, is credited by many with leading a revival of freeride. He\u2019s grabbed headlines with his merger of old school raw riding and burly style and some new school influence. While his star has never been brighter (and his soundtracks never heavier), the freeride viking is effusive and gracious in his departure from the brand.<\/p>\n Brage Vestavik: Thank You GT<\/p>\n Brage Vestavik\u2019s eulogy to his time with GT<\/p>\n It\u2019s been insane riding my GT bikes in the craziest places, all over the world. Thanks for the Good Times!<\/p>\n The first brand that really made me realize I could make a living of this and support the vision of where I really wanted to go with riding and being myself 100%. Moving further and further away from competitions and events, GT always there with the support, fueling the fire more and more! I will forever be grateful! Me and the crew \u202aBlur Media\u202c have traveled the world filming projects and never imagined we could end up. All the way from the local woods in Mysen to the mountains in Alaska, wrapping a helicopter with GT logos!<\/p>\n Put together my favorite clips together with Herman B\u00f8geberg from over the years, from all over the world, working with so many different people and legends, and with my absolute favorite song that has fueled so many of the insane moments all these years and has been my main riding song. It fits the good times, LA WOMAN, Jim Morrison and The Doors.<\/p>\n So many thanks to everyone who was involved over these years with GT!
