This comes a day after Harris announced that she will not be running for California governor in 2026.The book, titled \u2018107 Days,\u2019 will be published on September 23 by Simon &amp; Schuster.\u201cJust over a year ago, I launched my campaign for President of the United States,\u201d Harris said in a video posted on X.\u201c107 days traveling the country, fighting for our <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/future\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">future<\/a> \u2014 the shortest presidential campaign in modern history. Since leaving office, I\u2019ve spent a lot of time reflecting on those days and with candor and reflection, I\u2019ve written a behind-the-scenes account of that journey. I believe there\u2019s value in sharing what I saw, what I learned, and what it will take to move forward,\u201d she added.Harris ended up leading the Democratic ticket after former President <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/joe-biden\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Joe Biden<\/a> dropped out last July following a widely criticised debate performance. She was defeated in the November election by <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/donald-trump\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Donald Trump<\/a>. Had she won, Harris would have been the first woman and the first woman of color to become president of the US.Simon &amp; Schuster CEO Jonathan Karp declined to give details about what Harris will discuss in the book, including her views on Biden\u2019s fitness for office, but said Harris \u201caddresses everything we would want her to address.\u201dSimon &amp; Schuster described the book as a \u201cpage-turning account,\u201d offering \u201csurprising and revealing insights.\u201d\u201cKamala Harris is a singular American leader,\u201d Karp said in a statement. \u201c\u2018107 DAYS\u2019 captures the drama of running for president better than just about anything I\u2019ve read. It\u2019s one of the best works of political nonfiction Simon &amp; Schuster has ever published.
