“In weeks like this, there’s some straight-talking goes on and everyone’s reminded of their responsibilities. The boys are unbelievably committed to what they’re doing and we want to get the season going.<\/p>\n
“We want to shrug that [Leicester] game off as quickly as possible and get back on the field and perform. We love playing at Kingsholm and we are aware that we do owe [our fans].<\/p>\n
“Saracens is a massive challenge as always. They won’t have had the start to the season they wanted either \u2013 it’s two teams coming together who both desperately want to get some wins under their belt.”<\/p>\n
Gloucester faced some criticism after omitting several players for their Champions Cup defeat at Munster in the lead-up to the Leicester game, only to be comprehensively beaten again in the East Midlands.<\/p>\n
“You’ve got to look at squad sizes and the travelling,” Skivington said. “We have injuries and we can’t just click our fingers and make people better.<\/p>\n
“We did rest players to have a big game at Leicester, we didn’t deliver and we have to own that \u2013 which we have.
