The Los Pampas roster for Super Rugby Americas (SRA) 2026 has been confirmed.<\/a> The Buenos Aires franchise will be coached by Juan Manuel Leguizam\u00f3n for a third consecutive SRA season. Leguizam\u00f3n will be Head Coach of a staff team which also includes Rodrigo Mart\u00ednez, Sebasti\u00e1n Yav\u00edcoli and Sergio Carossio.<\/p>\n

The player roster contains 44 players. The group of players will begin preparations for the SRA 2026 season on January 16 at Casa Pumas in Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n

The SRA 2026 season will begin on Friday, February 20 with Los Dogos taking-on Os Cobras. Los Pampas will begin their season on day two with an away match against Yacare in Asunci\u00f3n, Paraguay. The regular season will see all teams facing each-other twice in home-and-away matches. They will conclude on June 06 and be followed by Semi Finals and the SRA Final.<\/p>\n

\"\"PAMPAS PLAYER EXODUS<\/p>\n

The 2026 roster announcement comes without a shortage of notable names. Hooker Ramiro Gurovich has signed for Anthem Rugby California<\/a> to compete in Major League Rugby (MLR) 2026. Tight Head props Gael Galv\u00e1n and Tom\u00e1s Rapetti now play in the Top 14.<\/p>\n

Second-rowers\u00a0Franco Carrera and Federico Lavanini are also both in Europe now. Carrera plays for Zebre Parma in the United Rugby Championship (URC) while Lavanini \u00b4caused for Colomies in the Pro D2. In addition, flanker \/ N8 Joaqu\u00edn Moro now plays for the Leicester Tigers in the English Premiership.<\/p>\n

Scrum-half Eliseo Morales has converted from XV to Sevens and is now playing for Los Pumas 7\u2019s on the World Circuit. Former Pumitas captain Juan Pablo Castro signed for Sport Lisboa e Benfica (Rugby Benfica) in Portugal and Pumas center Justo Piccardo joined Montpellier and has extended his stay there on a long-term deal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

An additional departure of note is that of 2025 captain Manuel Bernstein. The flanker will play his rugby in SRA 2025 for the new franchise, Los Capibaras. The Rosario-based side has also recruited center Bruno Heit from Los Pampas.<\/p>\n

\"\"PAMPAS \u2013 PLAYERS CAPPED BY LOS PUMAS<\/p>\n

Two players have played for Argentina at the highest level. Both are wingers and both featured in the 2025 home test match against Uruguay in Salta<\/a>. The match was the last for Santiago Cordero and the first for Santiago Pernas. The two wingers are on Los Pampas\u2019s roster for SRA 2026.<\/p>\n

Los Pampas will also have players returning to rugby XV from Los Pumas 7\u2019s.\u00a0Alfonso Latorre, Alejo Lavay\u00e9n, Agust\u00edn Fraga and Tob\u00edas Wade are all on the roster.<\/p>\n
